Marine Royale 5847

Marine Royale 5847 comes is a 45mm solid 18K rose gold case (pictured) or 18k white gold, features luminous markers and a uni-directional diver's bezel. The bezel's unidirectional rotation is secured by a blocking pawl, visible and located between the two winding crowns on the case flank. The 5847 comes with an alarm, which can be clearly heard underwater. The alarm setting crown and on-off pushpiece, in gold, are sheathed in rubber for easier handling. JR1000 Goldwaters

Jean Richard has created a new version of their Diverscope watch, the JR1000 Goldwaters. The case is 43 x 43mm and 13.5mm tall. It is made of stainless steel that has been coated in vulcanized rubber. The crown-shields and caseback are made of PVD coated titanium. The dual screw-down crowns are 18k pink gold. The sapphire is convex and with an anti-reflective treatment. The caseback is secured with 4 screws. Water-resistance is 300 meters.
The dial is matte black with arabic numerals and indexes in luminescent material. The strap comes in either black rubber or black rubber coated alligator with a black PVD stainless steel folding buckle.
Inside, is the in-house manufactured JR1000 self-winding mechanical movement. It runs at 4hz (28,800 vph) and has a 48-hour power reserve. The crown at 3 o'clock controls the hours, minutes and date setting. The crown at 9 o'clock adjusts the bi-directional internal diving bezel.

Las Vegas Strip Collection

Audemars Piguet just released their Las Vegas Strip Collection, which was originally unveiled at SIHH 2009 this past January. The collection consists of four watches, ranging from $24,800 and up, all are Royal Oak Offshores. Starting this month, the collection is available at authorized AP dealers in Las Vegas. Concord C1 Retrograde

C1 Retrograde comes in a 44 mm titanium case and features Concords signature styling, which includes rubber coated elements around the bezel and crown.
Inside, is an automatic Soprod 9094 movement that runs at 28,800 vph (or 4 hz) and features 30 jewels. The movement has been modified by Concord and features a snailed beveled rotor, Côtes de Genève decoration and a 42-hour power reserve.

The dial features a black checkered guilloché-pattern with white and red elements. The hands are asymmetrically hollowed and feature a Superluminova treatment. At 3 o'clock is the retrograde date disc. A power reserve display sits at 6 o'clock and a day disc is at 9 o'clock. Overall, the dial is nicely executed, with a nice blend of contemporary sportiness.

A sapphire crystal with anti-glare treatment on both sides protects the dial and a sapphire crystal protects the caseback. Water-resistant is to 200 meters. The strap is black vulcanized rubber with a black PVD-coated steel folding clasp (the use of PVD on the clasp prevents scratches to the area of the watch that is usually most prone to scratches, the clasp).

The company announced today the launch of what they call the world's smallest full-function GSM quad-band cell phone watch. Kempler & Strauss also announced the Communicator, a Bluetooth-enabled hands-free device that works with e W PhoneWatch at International CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment 2009.
The W PhoneWatch features a touchscreen with an micro-touch interface that enables users to operate the phone by fingertip, eliminating the need for a stylus to dial phone numbers or create text messages. The W PhoneWatch allows users to store up to 4GB of music, voice recordings, photos, or video via the integrated micro SD slot, and supports playback of all multimedia files. Swatch is launching on October 15th the new Swatch Chrono Automatic Collection. The Swatch Chrono Automatic Collection comprises five models offering rugged design and precision timing.
Swatch has wrapped the Swatch look and feel around a new self-winding movement bringing chrono automatic performance to Swatch customers. Swatch uses an ETA Caliber C01.211, a fifteen-jewel, 3Hz movement with a 46 hour power reserve - not too shabby. The movement of the new Chrono Automatic is Swiss made and the new Swatch Chronos also show the date and are water-resistant to 30m.
The Swatch Chrono Automatic Blunge (SVGK400G) you see in the photo has a price of $380. Models with a plastic strap sell for $370.
